Flashback on Vintage Audio Equipment You Remember
Let's face it, if you were a kid like I was who did most of his growing up in the 80's and early 90's, you know
vintage audio equipment when you see it... then again, you know just about anything vintage and nostalgic from that the 80's and 90's era. But back in the day, when we were growing up, there were definitely a lot of cool looking electronics back then... some of which we loved the look of, even when they faded out with the times. I know you remember that old school vintage audio equipment flava... the boom boxes especially, am I right?
Well I had to post up a blog article on this when I saw it because I was trippin' on what I was seeing. It turns out that there is someone that likes
vintage audio equipment even more so than we did back then, because this website I came across has a lot of it. It's called
ClassicBuys.net... go check it out. But what's cool is, these "flashbacks" of the 80's and 90's and earlier for that matter, function with features of our day and age to them! Here's what I mean:
Take for example, this piece of
vintage audio equipment, an old school good
old fashioned turntable! You remember when pops used to pull out the James Brown or some older classic records from the day and blasted it on while doin' things in the house? Okay, maybe that's me, though my dad was blastin' some Willie Colon and other old Latin salsa records too.
But anyhow, this turntable lets you play old school records, but here's what's great, especially for all you sample heads out there: This old school resembling piece of
vintage audio equipment lists that it records the music from vinyl records onto a SD Flash Memory card or USB drive! That's pretty sick, because you could own one of these, and find records for dirt cheap, snatch some hott bangin' samples, and load them onto your PC or Mac and start mixing them into your latest beat production! If I was a sample head, I would probably copp this quick and fast!
For those of you who still remember and reminisce on other types of vintage audio equipment like the boombox days, they carry them as well, only these
boomboxes play mp3 files, so you can flash back to the days of Grandmaster Flash, carry your boombox over your shoulder, and bang out this boombox with your mp3 tunes or just set it down at the park and listen to the music blastin' while you're out at the court. I'm buggin' out that they carry so many pieces of
vintage audio equipment, especially those like we grew up seeing and hearing.
They have a bunch of other things too like old antique phones, lamps, and even some chess boards for those of you that like chess. I've seen some sites back in the day, but this one bugged me out, especially for the boomboxes, and even more so, the vinyl record players that let you burn the songs onto USB or SD Flash Card. I just HAD to post this up to all of you who produce simply for that one alone, as I know how finding samples can be, and you can
find vinyl records locally or online as well.
So if the record player sounds like it'd be an option, be sure to check out ClassicBuys.net and copp yours... you and I know how hard it can be to find tools to get some of those songs off of vinyl. Well this piece of
vintage audio equipment looks like it would be just the ticket to get those bangin' samples that no one else would even think to use! If you know others looking for vinyl record players that burn songs onto card or USB, share this blog post link with the share buttons below to them and have 'em peep it! Keep grindin' on the beats! Much respect.
